In 13.8 million older French adults, a high-dose flu shot was linked to fewer flu hospitalizations

A nationwide French study followed almost everyone aged about 65 and over through one flu season. Vaccinated people were hospitalized for flu less often, and the high-dose vaccine was linked to more protection than standard ones, mainly from age 70. The thymus slowly turns into fat after puberty. In a Danish study of almost 1,300 adults, people living with HIV on long-term treatment had more thymus tissue left than people without HIV, and those with more tissue showed less inflammation.
